For diabetics who can’t control glucose levels with lifestyle measures, drugs are required. THERE is no cure for diabetes. The objective of its management is to maintain blood glucose levels within normal limits to prevent the development of health problems, for example, heart disease, kidney disease or stroke, in later life. The initial treatment of mild type 2 diabetes is lifestyle measures, which is all that is necessary sometimes. However, medicines to control blood glucose levels are necessary when lifestyle measures are no longer effective in mild diabetes and in moderate to severe diabetes. The initial medicines will be tablets. Later, it may include insulin, which is injected, and/or other medicines as well.
If you are suffering from Type 1 & 2 diabetes, please consult a Physician for the available options.
